(MCCG/Concordis MCCG) is a full service advisory firm that provides management consulting, project & construction management and commercial real estate services. MCCG and its management team serve a diverse clientele, including public sector clients, small and medium size businesses and corporate concerns here in the U.S. and internationally. We also serve the healthcare industry and oversee construction projects on behalf of owners and other stakeholders. The company is certified as a minority owned business by regulatory authorities. Our principals and senior project managers each have over 15 years of executive or consulting experience in their areas of expertise. Management Consulting and Controls Group Inc. (MCCG) began in 1990 as a full service management consulting firm providing superior quality management advisory services to clients in the New York area. Today, our firm is multifaceted with interests in construction management, health care systems, and real estate. We provide a wide-range of services, including project management, financial advisory and real estate services, including leasing, appraisal, and the development, management and implementation of capital projects and business ventures. Additional services include commercial real estate brokerage, business plan & feasibility study preparation, project feasibility and market studies, owner representation, capital project analysis and management. MCCG is certified as an African-American, minority-owned business (MBE) by the National Minority Supplier Development Councils serving New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as well as by New York State and New York City. The firm and is an active member of the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) and other chambers of commerce in New York. MCCG is an affiliate and a New York office of Concordis Real Estate Inc., the nation’s largest and only national minority commercial real estate firm. Our offices are located at 160 Pearl Street, between Wall Street and Pine Street, where the firm has successfully operated since 1991. The firm also maintains branch offices in Westchester and New Jersey and has national and international representation in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America. Our Business Philosophy MCCG consultants operate under the premise that the assumption of responsibility for providing advice or management support services requires a pre-existing or acquired knowledge of the workings of a particular industry and client operations in a thorough and cost-effective manner. Accordingly, one of our project managers works very closely with the client's policy makers, executive and line managers in the early stages of an assignment to ensure that a clear conceptual and strategic understanding of the issues involved is present throughout the relationship with the client. The resulting needs analysis or assessment usually becomes the foundation of MCCG’s relationship with a new client and the basis for a project. As a result, MCCG consultants are able to manage projects from its conception to completion more quickly and efficiently, and our clients enjoy the benefit of the insight and experience that MCCG consultants bring to the job. Jason Martin CMC - jmartin@mccgusa.com Jason Martin is a Managing Director of Management Consulting and Controls Group (MCCG). He is the executive with overall responsibility for relationship management and business development for the firm. Mr. Martin is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a graduate of New York University’s Stern School of Business. He earned a certificate in Japanese business and management from Sanno University, Nagoya, Japan, and completed the Advanced Minority Business Executive Program at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business. He is also a licensed real estate broker and a principal of Concordis Real Estate, MCCG's national commercial real estate affiliate. Mr. Martin's professional memberships include the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), the Project Management Institute (PMI), the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and African American Real Estate Professionals of New York (AAREPNY). He has served on the boards of the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, The Council for Unity, and the Borough Development Group, as well as on the financial advisory committees of several health care organizations and private companies. Mr. Martin has worked for several large financial institutions and private firms in New York, and on projects in the Caribbean and South America, and has a working knowledge of Spanish. He is a principal consultant, executive coach and advisor to management of various not-for-profits, small businesses, corporations and government agencies on strategy, finance, real estate, construction and project development. Ian Jones - IanJones@mccgusa.com Ian Jones is MCCG’s Managing Director and has responsibility for the execution of project management and consulting operations at the firm. A graduate of NYU's Stern School of Business, Mr. Jones has received advanced training in leadership and management from the Aichron Academy. He is a Certified Data Programmer (CDP), and has served on the boards of Youth at Risk and other not-for-profits. Mr. Jones serves as the Project Executive for new construction projects, rehabilitation of existing facilities, new technology for health care entities, and strategic planning for small business and not-for-profits. Previously, Mr. Jones served as the Executive Vice President of Landmark Group a New Jersey developer of malls and real estate management software. At Landmark, Mr. Jones was involved in the development of over a dozen commercial properties in Central New Jersey. Mr. Jones’ portfolio includes the development of the Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center new complex, Urban Health Plan, North East Brooklyn Housing Development Corporation, the Brooklyn Alliance Streetscape Project, the Government of St Lucia, Bridge St Development Corporation, Brownsville Multi Service Center, Hunts Point Multi Service Center, San Juan Realty and the Virtual Parking Corporation. Lewis Spann - lspann@mccgusa.com Mr. Spann is MCCG’s principal for construction and engineering for the New York City metro area, with some twenty years of project development and construction experience. A civil engineering graduate of Brown University, he also holds a masters degree in civil engineering from Columbia University. He has worked for several large engineering and construction firms in New York City after his apprenticeship with the professional engineering firm of Leroy Callendar and Associates. Recent large and complex projects where Mr. Spann has served as the Project Manager include the Pepsi Bottling Company’s New $25 million warehouse in Queens, Urban Health Plan’s, 40,000 square feet health center and the 60,000 square feet East Orange Hospital Physicians Office Building. He has also worked on the Ellis Island Restoration project, the Columbia University Bakers Field Football Stadium and the 26 story office renovation of a major law firm in New York City. Mr. Spann is also well known for his HPD projects in Harlem and for his X- Ray and medical installations throughout the City and tri-state area. He is currently overseeing the construction phase of the Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center’s, new 40,000 square feet health center in Brooklyn, New York and, the 15,000 square feet Plaza Del Sol Health Center in Queens as well as other projects in pre construction. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Council for Unity, and volunteers with the Boys Club in New Rochelle where he is a leadership and basketball coach. He is also an avid golfer. Elizabeth L. Martin - emartin@concordis.com Ms. Martin is a commercial real estate expert, providing real estate leasing & sales brokerage, consulting services, and is a corporate broker for MCCG and a Managing Director of the firm. She began her real estate career as an employee of Julien J. Studley Inc. and worked directly for the president and founder. Prior to that she worked in the marketing of real estate investment products for Prudential Insurance Company. Ms. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and completed her Masters of Science degree in Real Estate Investments and Development at New York University. She also served as an adjunct Professor of Real Estate at New York University where she taught the capstone course in Real Estate Development. Ms. Martin spent several years at the Prudential Investment Corporation, the investment arm of the Prudential Insurance Company based in Newark, New Jersey, where she produced marketing material for Prudential real estate, fixed income, venture capital and equity investment products. She has been recognized in Crain’s “40 under 40” list of top executives (2000),Real Estate Weekly’s top “100 Women Real Estate Leaders” for the 21st century; “Woman of the Year” by the NY/NJ Chapter of the National Kidney Foundation (1998); Network Journal Publications “40 under 40” Achievement Award (1998) and has been mentioned in Black Enterprise Magazine, KIP Communications Entrepreneur Magazine, The Newark Star Ledger, Crain’s New York Business, Real Estate Weekly and the New York Times. She is a member of the House Committee of the Yale Club of New York, New York University Real Estate Alumni Committee, National Association of Female Executives, African American Real Estate Professionals of New York, and is on the Board of Directors of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York, Inc. and the Partnership with Children.
